Семейная пара средних лет увлеченно репетирует спектакль о жизни и творчестве "Сестер Берри". Эта история переносит самих актеров любительского театра в ту прекрасную эпоху, когда Нью-Йорк был центром культуры и порождал такие знаменитые на весь мир имена, как Джордж Гершвин (Яков Гершовиц), Ирвин Берлин (Израиль Бейлин), Николас и Джозеф Шенк (Николай и Иосиф Шенкеры) , Сестры Берри (Клара и Мина Бeйгельман) и многие, многие другие...
