Cardel Theatre

About the venue

Cardel Theatre is a rentable theatre in Calgary's Quarry Park neighbourhood. A stage, tiered seating, a large projection screen and theatre audio support performances, presentations and other gatherings, with backstage space available for productions. It combines the focused experience of an auditorium with facilities for both live and screen-based programmes, giving organisers a practical setting for sharing work with an audience. A grand piano and backstage dressing rooms complement the stage and screen, providing facilities that connect musical and dramatic presentation with the theatre's other uses.

The combination of live-stage and screen capabilities allows the room to serve more than one kind of presentation. A performance can use the stage and backstage facilities, while a film or speaker programme can place the large projected image at the centre of the audience's attention. In the Quarry Park setting, that versatility gives organisers a complete theatre environment and offers visitors a focused place to share the programme being presented.
