Church Deer Park

About the venue

Christ Church Deer Park is an Anglican church on Yonge Street with a strong musical tradition. Music forms part of its regular worship and community life, giving the building a setting closely associated with listening, singing and gathering together. Cultural events here take place within that church environment; the individual listing identifies the programme and whether it uses the church or a related hall.

The church's musical life gives performances a context of listening and shared participation. A public cultural programme joins a building already used for singing, gathering and reflection, making the surroundings part of the tone of the event. Christ Church Deer Park's Yonge Street location also connects this community setting with the wider city, allowing visitors to discover a concert or presentation in a place whose identity extends beyond the evening's programme.
