Greenwin Theatre, Meridian Arts Centre

About the venue

Greenwin Theatre is the black-box stage at Meridian Arts Centre on Yonge Street in North York. The flexible theatre setting offers a different scale of performance from the centre's larger auditoriums, bringing audiences into a studio-style space. It shares the arts complex with other halls, so the Greenwin name on your ticket is the key to finding the correct performance room.

The black-box format gives the room a studio identity, allowing the production's arrangement to shape how an audience relates to the performance. It is one of several distinct spaces in the arts complex, offering a setting different from a recital hall or a larger theatrical auditorium. For visitors, the attraction is the opportunity to encounter a programme in a focused, flexible environment while still arriving at one of North York's established cultural destinations.
