About the venue
Kailash Mital Theatre is Carleton University's dedicated performance theatre in Ottawa. Located within the university campus, it brings public performances into an academic setting and provides a fully equipped stage for visiting productions. The theatre offers a more focused audience experience than a large arena, linking live entertainment with the cultural life of the university and Canada's capital.
The university setting gives the theatre a connection with learning and campus life while still offering a dedicated environment for public presentation. A fully equipped stage allows visiting productions to bring their work into that setting, creating a meeting point between performers, students and the wider Ottawa audience. For a visitor, the experience centres on the concentration of a theatre room and the shared response to a live programme, rather than the scale of an arena event.
