About the venue
Long & McQuade's Richmond Hill location on Via Renzo Drive brings musical instruments, music lessons and a dance centre into one destination. The store has also presented in-store live music and community celebration events, extending its role beyond shopping and instruction. Programmes here place audiences close to a working music environment, connecting performers, learners and visitors through shared musical interests. The instrument store and lesson centres make the location a place where music is part of daily practice, giving performances a direct connection with the tools and skills behind the sound.
A performance inside a music store takes place close to instruments, teaching and the practical work of making music. That gives an event a different character from a conventional concert room, connecting artists and listeners with the same environment used by students and musicians throughout the week. The location's music and dance teaching roles reinforce that identity, allowing a programme to feel part of a wider community of learning and creative participation.
