Small World Centre

About the venue

Small World Centre is an intimate performance and event space on Shaw Street, operated by Small World Music. Its programme and rentals accommodate music, theatre, film and other creative gatherings, reflecting the organisation's interest in connecting people through culturally diverse music. The centre provides a close setting for discovering artists and sharing community experiences, with the format of each event determined by its presenters.

The centre's cultural purpose gives its programme a relationship with the people and traditions represented by the artists. An intimate room can make that exchange feel close, whether the occasion is a musical performance, a film or another creative presentation. For visitors, Small World Centre offers a place to encounter work in a setting shaped by community connection, where the scale of the space supports attention to the performers and the stories they bring.
