About the venue
The Mady Centre for the Arts is the former name retained in this listing for Five Points Theatre in downtown Barrie. Located at Dunlop and Bayfield Streets, the theatre is a city-managed performance facility and a local cultural destination. The renamed venue continues the site's role as a place for stage presentations; check the current theatre name on new event details.
The venue's two names reflect successive chapters in the same downtown cultural destination. Its position at a central Barrie intersection makes the theatre part of the city's everyday streetscape as well as a place for a special evening. Performances here connect the local community with visiting presentations, while the Five Points identity continues the stage's role in the city. The older Mady name remains useful when looking back through productions and event records from an earlier period.
