Theatre Aurora

About the venue

Theatre Aurora is a community theatre on Henderson Drive in Aurora, with a long record of presenting plays and musicals. Its programme reflects the work of local performers and theatre-makers, giving audiences an opportunity to encounter live productions close to home. The venue's community focus makes it a place where the shared experience of theatre connects the stage with the town around it.

Community theatre depends on the work of people who develop productions together, and that collaborative identity is central to Theatre Aurora's appeal. Plays and musicals give audiences different ways to encounter local performers and theatre-makers, while the venue provides a familiar home for that changing programme. An evening here connects the immediacy of a live story with the town's creative participation, allowing the audience to share in work made and presented within its own community.
