About the venue
Theatre Plaza is a performance and event venue on Saint-Hubert Street in Montreal. Originally built as a cinema, it retains decorative character that gives concerts, dancing evenings and other gatherings a memorable backdrop. The space now hosts a variety of live and special events, linking its movie-theatre heritage with contemporary cultural activity.
Its cinema origins help explain why the room feels different from a modern purpose-built event hall. The retained decorative setting gives contemporary performances a link to the building's earlier entertainment life, while the Saint-Hubert Street location connects the venue with its surrounding neighbourhood. A visit can therefore combine the energy of a present-day concert or social programme with the visual character of a room that has long welcomed audiences.
