Velvet Underground

About the venue

Velvet Underground is a live music venue on Queen Street West in downtown Toronto. Operated within Embrace's venue network, it brings artists and audiences together for ticketed shows in one of the city's established entertainment neighbourhoods. The venue opens for scheduled performances, so its atmosphere and programme follow the artists appearing there; consult the individual listing for show times and admission details.

Queen Street West places the venue within a neighbourhood where music, restaurants and evening activity are closely connected. A performance here is built around the live artist and the response of the crowd, giving the room a club-like identity distinct from a formal concert auditorium. Because the venue's opening follows its show calendar, each visit has a clear musical focus, with the featured act setting the character of the night.
