How do I buy a BuyTix gift card?
Visit Buy a Gift Card and choose an amount. Sign in or create an account before checkout, then complete payment. Once payment is confirmed, open the purchased card in My Gift Cards to email it or download it.
How much can I put on a gift card?
The purchase page shows the current minimum and maximum amounts in Canadian dollars. You choose the amount within those limits. There is no delivery charge; your chosen gift-card amount is the total charged.
Do I need an account before choosing an amount?
You can browse gift cards and choose an amount on the purchase page while signed out. You'll need to sign in or create an account before checkout. Your selected amount is kept for your return in the same browser session.
When and how do I send it?
Delivery choices become available in the purchased card's details after payment is confirmed. Enter your friend's email when you are ready to send, or download a PDF to share yourself. Emailing and downloading use the same gift card; they don't create extra value.
How does my friend redeem their gift?
They visit Redeem Gift Card, sign in or create a BuyTix account, and enter the gift-card code. The full value is added once to their Wallet. They can then choose to use Wallet balance during BuyTix ticket checkout.
What if the tickets cost more—or less—than the gift?
At BuyTix ticket checkout, choose how much available Wallet balance to use. If there's an amount left to pay, it goes through the card payment flow. Any unused Wallet balance remains in the account for a later purchase.
Where can the gift card be used?
Redeem the code to a BuyTix Wallet and use that balance toward tickets through BuyTix checkout. BuyTix gift cards are separate from gift cards sold by other ticketing websites.
Where can I find a purchased card or check my balance?
Sign in and open My Gift Cards for your purchases, delivery options and redemption status. After redeeming a gift, open Wallet to see your available balance and posted transactions.
