Amazing Cat Performances Studio

About the venue

Amazing Cat Performance Centre is an arts studio on Dufferin Street in North York, established for Toronto's Russian-speaking creative community. Its activities bring together music, singing, acting, dance, visual art and literary interests, giving adults a place to develop and share their talents. Performances in the studio extend that creative work into a small-scale cultural gathering, with artists and audiences meeting in a community-focused setting.

The studio gives adults a place to explore artistic interests across several disciplines rather than follow one kind of performance alone. Learning and practice can lead into small-scale presentations, allowing the work developed by participants to be shared with other members of the community. For audiences, the appeal is a close relationship with the people creating the programme, in an environment where artistic development and cultural connection remain as important as the finished event.
