Green Village Club

About the venue

Green Village Club is a country event venue on Vandorf Sideroad in Whitchurch-Stouffville. Community programmes have used its grounds for gatherings combining visual art, live music and outdoor social experiences, while business listings also identify it as a celebration venue. Its countryside setting provides a different backdrop from an urban hall, with organisers defining which spaces and activities form part of each event.

The art programmes documented at the property show how an outdoor setting can become part of a cultural gathering. Visual work, music and conversation can share the grounds, allowing visitors to engage with the programme beyond the format of a conventional gallery or stage room. For guests, Green Village's country character contributes to the occasion, while the host determines which spaces and activities bring the group together for the event.
