About the venue

The John W. H. Bassett Theatre is the dedicated performance venue inside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre's North Building on Front Street. Designed for stage presentations as well as conferences and cultural celebrations, it brings a theatre setting into one of downtown Toronto's major gathering places. Its position near the convention centre's main entrance makes it a distinctive destination for an evening performance or a special event. Its backstage facilities include seven dressing rooms, a green room and a warm-up room, while the stage supports rear-screen projection. These spaces allow the people preparing a production and the audience arriving to see it to be accommodated within the same complete theatre environment.
