About the venue
Queen Elizabeth Theatre sits within Toronto's Exhibition Place grounds on Princes' Boulevard. Designed by architect Peter Dickinson, the venue brings a distinctive mid-century setting to live concerts, comedy and other stage performances. It offers an alternative to the downtown theatre district, placing an evening of entertainment within one of the city's best-known exhibition and event destinations.
The theatre's architecture connects it with the period when Exhibition Place added a series of modernist buildings and landmarks. Today, that heritage sits alongside a programme of contemporary entertainment, giving the venue a recognisable identity beyond any single show. Its setting on the exhibition grounds also makes the approach part of the experience, with the wider site's open spaces and event buildings surrounding a dedicated room for live performance.
